Alice Cooper says there are "some very uncomfortable moments" for him in his new biographical documentary. But the legendary shock rocker tells the Toronto Star it's because "Super Duper Alice Cooper" is real, and tells the true story of his life and career. He adds that he's proud the filmmakers "didn't edit out anything" that would make him "look bad."
Cooper is taking his "doc opera" north of the border for the Canadian premiere at Toronto's Hot Docs festival Monday night. Alice will be on hand for the event, and participate in a Q-and-A session following the presentation.
Super Duper Alice Cooper had its world premiere earlier this month at New York's Tribeca Film Festival. The movie also had an industry screening last week in Los Angeles.
Details on U.S. theater showings, which begin Wednesday, are available at SuperDuperAliceCooper.com.
